Junior Naval Architect/Engineer.

Requires a good understanding of engineering fundamentals. Job will entail entry-level basic ship design work including Finite Element Analysis of hull structures for ships of various sizes, the analysis of conceptual early-stage hull form development and overall ship arrangements; propulsion systems; hydrodynamics, structures; and seakeeping and stability. Requires a BS degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or other related engineering degree with 0-3 years experience. Applicant must possess good communication skills including effective writing skills. Job requires a good background in the use of application software including Windows and Microsoft Office 2000 programs. Experience in at least some of the following Ship Design and Assessment software programs is a plus: Aut0CAD, ALGOR, NASTRAN, MAESTRO, SafeHull, FastShip, SMP, GHS, and HECSALV.
